Welcome to Co-Curricular Life at Sweet Briar!

Co-Curricular Life Mission Statement
Co-Curricular Life supports Sweet Briar’s mission by engaging and empowering women through a wide range of intentional programs that promote enjoyment of the college experience. Through this holistic approach, Co-Curricular Life helps prepare students for an increasingly diverse and complex world.

At Sweet Briar, the integration and interconnection of students' academic and co-curricular experience is fundamental to our philosophy. The division of Co-Curricular Life works closely and collaboratively with the Dean of the College, with faculty members, and with various College offices to facilitate a positive and innovative student life experience.
The Co-Curricular Life staff is committed to supporting and challenging students to make the most of their Sweet Briar experience. Students actively engage in the life of the College and are encouraged to take responsibility for their lives on campus through a wide range of social, cultural, spiritual, and recreational activities.
In addition to being involved as a participant, students are encouraged to seek positions of leadership in student government, through a wide range of student and campus organizations, in athletics, and through service learning opportunities on campus and in the community at-large.
